Thought I'd take advantage of the rest of the internet being down to quickly upgrade this server.
It didn't go great. These Node projects just can't leave their build process alone for even a minute can they?
Now you need a new Yarn, Yarn has changed the way it installs, now you need Corepack, that means you need a new Node, no definitely newer than the apt package.
God knows why a Ruby project would want to copy this insanity but here we are.
Latest changes broke my alterations to set the character-limit but we have finally got the actually latest Glitch working.
Interesting looking new interface that broke my character-limit changes though. I think threaded mode is new.
Still sooner have my 5k character limit though.

Lol. I kept getting this same guy replying to a lot of my posts and such saying ridiculous shit like "my 25,000 character descriptions of images are WAY better than Mastodon's measily 1,500 character limit"....nobody is reading the bible for a description of an image. Sorry.

It's times like this that I really wish #AllThingsTech was self-hosted and had a larger character limit for each post.
Relaying a point with more characters often allows you to express the point better and much more clearly for everyone to understand.
Mastodon please, change the character limit site wide, or allow it as a feature in the admin panel.

Updated Mastodon to 4.2.6 and accidentally increased the character limit to 50k instead of 5k. Not enough energy to fix it. It will stay like that until the next update.
